Kenny sings lead for Klassyc Tymes. He is undoubtedly one of the finest and most talented lead singers in the business. Kenny retired from the Lexington Police Department and currently resides in Richmond, Kentucky. Kenny has a vacation home and spends much of his time in his native Wayne County, Kentucky. Kevin takes the "high road" on all of Klassyc Tymes' songs. Kevin has the unique ability to blend softly, powerfully, and perfectly on harmony and he has tremendous vocal range. Kevin's rendition of "Unchained Melody" and "Just My Imagination" really shows off his vocal abilities and style. Kevin arranges the harmonies and vocals for most of Klassyc Tymes' music, plus he shares the emcee duties with Kenny Owens. Kevin lives in Monticello, Kentucky. David is the lead guitarist for Klassyc Tymes. David is one of the most versatile and steady players in the music business. David appreciates and plays many different styles of music. When he's not playing the Oldies with Klassyc Tymes he is playing mandolin for Sage Knoll, a popular regional bluegrass band. David is one of those guys who can play just about anything with strings. KC is what all of his friends and fans call him. Ken plays saxophone for Klassyc Tymes and his peers consider him one of the best sax players around. Ken actually has more musical experience than any of the other band members having played sax with many groups since the late 50's. Marty is the man with the beat. Marty is a great drummer and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Marty is also the band's sound technician. Marty enjoys different musical styles including playing and singing at his church. He always has a smile on his face and a kind word for anybody he talks with. Phil grew up in a family of musicians and has played music most of his life. Phil began playing bass guitar at an early age and has mastered several types of music including rock, country, jazz, and gospel. Phil was a regular at Renfro Valley for 10 years before joing a country band in Lexington, Kentucky. During this time he opened for many country stars including George Jones, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels, Restless Heart, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Richard "The Duke" Earl has played drums professionally for over 20 years. When it come to Classic Rock Drummers, Duke would have to be at the top of the list. His style and sense of timing are perfect for Klassyc Tymes' play list. He really drives the beat and we are sure you are going to enjoy his talent. Duke has 5 different sets of drums so it’s easy to see where his priorities are. He is originally from Rochester, New York and currently lives in Somerset, Kentucky.

 

Considering himself a "modern" saxophonist, John has developed his own approach to playing. While being influenced by the great jazz musicians, John has also studied other American styles and instruments. John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker, Cannonball Adderley, Stan Getz, Johnny Hodges, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dickie Betts, Bob Marley, Robert Johnson, and Lenny Pickett are a few of his mentors. These influences have given John the opportunity to establish himself as one of the region's most versatile players.

 

Maurice is no stranger to the music scene with over 30 years of experience. Maurice owned and managed a popular band in the 80's called "Stardust" and definitely knows the music business. Besides being a great keyboard player, he is also a great vocalist and steel guitar player. Maurice is a great asset to Klassyc Tymes adding the key ingredient to making the band successful. Maurice lives in Somerset, Kentucky and is a retired recruiter for the National Guard.
